Is this a drive through test site?

Yes, you will not get out of your car for testing. You will enter the parking lot at the designated entry point, drive through the parking lot with designated stops for check in and testing, and exit the parking lot at the designated exit point.

Are face-coverings required?

Please wear a face covering. You will be asked to keep your face covered with the exception of lowering it to expose your nose for testing.

Do I need to register ahead of time?

Yes, you must register ahead of the event by completing the form on this page or calling the Wilson Community Health Center at (252) 243-1258. We will not be able to test you if you are not registered ahead of time.

Do I have to be symptomatic to be tested?

• Have COVID-19 symptoms
• Are a close contact of a known positive case
• Are at higher risk of exposure or of severe disease:
o Live or have regular contact with high–risk setting such as long-term care facility, homeless shelter, correctional facility, migrant farmworker camp
o Historically marginalized populations who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19
o Frontline and essential workers
o Health care workers and first responders
o People who are at higher risk of severe illness
• Have attended mass gatherings

Is there a fee to be tested?

There are no out-of-pocket costs for testing. Insurance is accepted, but is not required.

Please bring your ID.

When will my results be available?

Results should be available approximately 2-4 days after testing. Please call (252) 243-1253 to obtain your results. We will also mail letters with test results. All positive results will be shared with the local health department for contact tracing.
